Really this is leeching off SSP Studios‘ expertise. He setup the shot and let me try it as well. Overhead ginormous softbox, left reflector and fan.

Mark and Katie
Engagement photo for two great people I’ve known for a combined 37 years. A number of the ideas came from their friend Blair who tagged along as the honorary Creative Director.

February 2010 Athens Strobist Meetup.
Clinton and the Tree

Andy Fore Headshot
This is a budding MacGeek Celeb. His blog: arfore.com BTW, I’m more used to the computer saying headshot as Andy’s avatar dies in a game at a LAN party.
Red Ornament Self-Portrait
I saw this shiny red ornament on a street Christmas Decoration in Valdosta, GA. I had to try and get this self-portrait.

Taken at the November 21, strobist meetup in Commerce, Georgia. Canon autofocus doesn’t work without light. So easy modes flicker light to blind both photographer and subject. Advanced modes require manual focus. Sucks.
Strobist Behind the Scenes
Ambient light with ISO jacked up to 1600.
Wes and Cheshire Cat
Wes’ Alien Bees left at 1/2 power (steady) + Dave’s 430EXII right reflected silver at 1/4 power. Triggered through two PocketWizard Plus IIs. Camera 28mm, 1/80th, f/4.5, ISO 100.
